Unassuming, almost shy and retiring, Swedish sensation Jose Gonzalez delivered a special show.

This was a magic gig. Jose Gonzalez was huge at the time, Heartbeats had been such a massive tune, and it was our first time seeing him. Very stripped back show, just him and two backup musicians, sparse lighting, really the emphasis was on the atmospheric, natural acoustic guitar and beautiful vocals.

Loved it. This Times review makes it sound less amazing than it was. I guess it's hard to keep the wonder when you're a music critic.
